Grey waters are waste waters generated through the use of water for showers, dishes or washing machines.
On average, the grey water tanks of motorhomes have a capacity of about 100 litres. Depending on the use and the number of people, the tank must be emptied once or twice a week. Grey water is discharged through valves or hatches, which discharge directly under the motorhome. It is imperative that grey water be drained into an appropriate discharge on service areas.
We advise to clean the waste water tank twice a year with EUCANETANK in order to remove soap and grease deposits. Its treatment has a purifying function that will neutralize bad smells. Dilute 500ml of EUCANETANK in 5 litres of warm water (if it is possible). Pour the mixture into the drains of the kitchen sink and the shower. Fill with water the tank. If it is possible, drive the vehicle in order to well mix the product. Let act a few hours to one night. Drain away and rinse with clear water.

Lacking in oxygen and water, fuels are hydrocarbons within whom bacteria, yeast and mould do not proliferate. So why is fuel in the tank contaminated ?
When filling tanks, the temperature differences between the fuel contained in the delivery tank truck and your boat’s tank causes air condensation heavy with humidity.
Added to this is moist air which penetrates the vats and tanks through the vents. This additional moist air is accentuated in regions with a strong range of daily temperature variations.
This humidity laden air condenses in the top part of the tank and forms drops of water which stream down the walls.
This water, in particular more corrosive, in the event of sea air, can be found, with regards its density, in the bottom of the tank under the fuel in other words “as a leaven”.
From there, micro-organisms and bacteria with water and oxygen are going to develop and multiply at the water-fuel interface by nourishing themselves with hydrocarbon compounds from diesel or petrol.
It is a necessary to clean and maintain teak deck.
Indeed, teak is an exotic wood which will support the bad weather, the salt air, the accidental spots... and which will gray, soak water, become deformed, be drained then crack.
Admittedly, the older people will say to you that the sea water is enough for a good cleaning but the lovers of wood will note that teak grays with time and loses its so pleasant original color. Moreover, we make the error of rubbing with a hard brush hoping to get a very good cleaning. Even there, we are mistaken because the friction of hard brush on wood digs fiber and we find ourselves with a teak full of scratches. Then the teak leaves splinters what is not pleasant !
CLEAN - STAGE 1
The product corresponding to the cleaning is the SUN TECK.
Proceed in the following way :
- Prepare your dilution : 1 litre of SUN TECK in 3 to 5 litres of water according to the state of cloggeg teak.
- Wet teak beforehand.
- Pour this mixture. Using a brush provided
Step n°1 : Disperse hydrocarbon molecules
The first step is to drain the water tank. Then fill it with water and add the concentrated hydrocarbon dispersant D.05/11 (ref. 071L) The quantity advised is 5 litres. for a tank of 100 litres of water. Let act the product for about 1 to 2 hours. D.05/11 will micronize the diesel-oil. Drain thoroughly the tank and rinse twice with fresh water.
Step n°2 : Decontaminate the water tank
Fill again water and add BACTI-TANK (ref. 021L) at a rate of 200 ml for 100 litres of water. Drain again while circulating water with all the taps open.
Step n°3 : Return to service the water tank
Fill for the last time the tank by adding BACTI-TANK by respecting normal proportion (either 1 dose of 25 ml for 100 litres od water).
The lubrication or the greasing is a set of techniques allowing to reduce the friction, the wear between two elements in contact and in movement one to another.
Adequate lubrication allows smooth continuous operation of equipment, reduces the rate of wear, and prevents oxydization.
We talk about lubrication in the case or the lubricant is liquid and of greasing if it is compact.
The principal difference between the lubricants and greases are thus their texture. Greases are thick products while the lubricants are fluid products generally wrapping in aerosol.
Liquid or paste?
We will generally use a liquid lubricant for protecting sheaves, pulleys and gosenecks.
Indeed, greasy products are to be banned because they get dusts, pollution, salt and so become an abrasive paste.
Choose the dry lubricant LUBSEC MARINE P.T.E.F based.
We will prefer a thick grease, such LUBMARE, for the lubrication of the winches, naked stage, bearings, gears, cables, chains which are subject to strong
It is important to descaling the boiler (water heater) of the motorhome once a year. The use of acids or alkaline products should be prohibited in order to not damage it.
To correctly descale it, proceed as follows:
- Dilute NO TARTRE at a rate of 1 to 2 litres in 20 litres of water in a plastic bucket.
- Remove the hot water hose at the top of the boiler and the cold water hose at the bottom. At the cold water inlet pipe on the bottom, place a hose with a funnel at the end to pour in the solution.
- It is also possible to have the solution of NO TARTRE / Water sucked by the pump with a hose end dipped into the bucket and connected to the suction of the pump, outlet of hot water disconnected.
- Start the boiler. The rise in temperature accelerates the descaling. As the red solution is going to take care of limestone, its color is going to turn to the yellow.
- Stop the boiler and let act the solution a few hours to 1 night.
- Drain away.
- If necessary, renew the operation with a
